Radio 316 is a broadcasting station owned by the Family Media Company limited-Kenya.

It was founded in 1999 by the now C.E.O Leo Slingerland as Family Fm on 105.2 FM. The station which was the only one of its kind in Kenya doing Christian broadcast grew from a station serving the locals in Nairobi to having a nation wide coverage in Kenya thanks to the frequency re-allocation in 2003 to 103.9 Fm that helped Radio 316 achieve one of its set goals-to a have a nation wide coverage by then.

During it inception, Family FM started as a 24 hour broadcast station which fitted its great demand of the audience by its programming and has maintained that to present.

Radio 316 has always been a Christian Music station with presentations in between that include the most listened to talk shows which start as early as 6.30am to 7pm among others shows.

In August 2008, Family Fm rebranded to Radio 316- singled out from John 3:16 in the bible which talks about the love God had for us (his creation), thus detaching itself from Family Fm which was more often mistaken by its sister Television Station Family TV, giving it a new lease of life.

Since inception, Radio 316 has become strong and vibrant with more and spicy programming as it seeks to attain it vision of inspiring love to everyone.
